If you are traveling to Seattle to attend Robothon, be sure to save a couple of days for a fun family vacation.Whether you want to go whale watching, ride a ferry, climb a mountain, see a play, or eat some great food, Seattle is a fantastic tourist destination. Robothon will be held at Seattle Center, home of the world-famous Space Needle and the Pacific Science Center. In case any members of your family don't share your interest in robotics, world-class shopping is a short Monorail ride away!

There are many fine hotels in Seattle. We recommend the Best Western Executive Inn or the MarQueen Hotel. They are both within walking distance from Robothon. Hotel Andra is another option although a bit further away. Google Maps can also offer a range of hotel selections and dining options.

If you are arriving by plane, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is about 30 miles south of Seattle Center. There is the customary array of rental cars and buses. Another alternative is Shuttle Express.

You might want to check Seattle's weather before you pack. You may experience rain (usually in the form of light drizzle), a cool day, or it could be sunny and warm. Although locals don't generally carry umbrellas, you may want to bring one! No matter what time of year you visit, it's unlikely you'll encounter temperatures less than 40 or more than 85 degrees.
