Judges' Awards

Object
Many people build robots that don't fit in the regular robotic contests held at the Robothon. The Judges' Awards are an opportunity for people to recieve special recognition for their robotic creations.

Any robot that shows up to the Robothon is elegible for these awards.

Judging is conducted by a group of anonymous officials and is completely subjective. Each is based on theme of the particular award title.

The 2005 Robothon Judges' Awards are:

  • Judges' Choice
  • Best Engineered Robot
  • Most Innovative Robot
  • Coolest Robot
  • Most Unusual Robot
  • Cutest Robot
  • Most Practical Robot
  • Rube Goldburg Award

If no robot clearly fits any particular category, then no award may be granted. In special cases where there are two robots that best fit a particular category, then there can be two awards granted.
